The Weapon-X Program History:
Logan: The year is 1978. A secret Canadian Government program, code named Weapon-X, was initiated to genetically enhance mutants in an effort create the perfect assassin. Their ideal candidate, who’s unrivaled healing powers render him virtually invincible, went by the name of Logan (James Logan Howlett). With three retractable, mutated, claw-like bones, situated within the interosseus membrane on each of his forearms, he eventually would become known as the “Wolverine”. Scientists of the program were tasked with furthering his indestructibility and effectiveness as weapon using a newly developed metal alloy, called Adamantium.
Wade Wilson: The dual katana sword wielding mercenary, volunteered for the program shortly after Logan. Scientists genetically enhanced his cellular regeneration ability, based off of Logan’s DNA. Transforming the “merc with a mouth” into a virtually immortal killing machine, by the alias “Deadpool”.
Weapon-X Dog Tags:
Weapon-X dog tags are constructed from heavy gauge metal alloy with recessed information pads and sunken lettering. Designed to be virtually indestructible, while preserving the readability of the soldier’s information through extreme exposure and combat conditions. The impressed lettering and numbers are of a vintage mechanical, typewriter style, United States Military stamping font. Each individual “Weapon-X” style dog tag features the name of the man, with his alias on the reverse. Both sides feature the soldier serial number, tetanus immunization year, and blood type. Since these dog tags were apparently (fictionally) created in 1978, they are aged and weathered (artificially) to simulate nearly 4-decades of exposure and combat wear. Included in each set are United States Military spec. ball neck chain and spare dog tag chain.
- All dog tag sets are made 100% in the U.S.A.
